What we process
The website may process technical connection data, language, device category, page visits, referral category and a pseudonymous cookie identifier. If you request product updates or register as a Dutch navigation tester, we process your email address, selected interest, language, and the dates of consent and confirmation. The email address is stored in encrypted form, and a non-reversible fingerprint prevents duplicate registrations. Route points and preferences are currently stored locally on your device. If accounts, cloud storage, payments, subscriptions, AI or apps are introduced, we will update this information before those features process personal data.
Purposes and legal bases
Necessary storage provides requested functions, remembers language, route and privacy choices, secures the service and helps prevent misuse. Google Analytics starts only after your separate, voluntary consent. Previous consent to our own statistics does not count as consent to Google Analytics. Processing for accounts, payments, marketing and AI will be explained before those services are introduced.
Retention and recipients
If a registration has not been confirmed, the usable confirmation link expires after 48 hours. We retain confirmed contact details until you unsubscribe or request their deletion. Google Analytics retains user and event data for 2 months, without restarting this period when you visit again. Aggregated standard reports are not subject to this retention period. Hosting and email providers receive only the minimum data necessary to retain the registration and deliver confirmations or requested updates. Map, routing, payment or other service providers may receive the minimum data necessary to provide their service. Details and retention periods will be updated when providers or future features change.
Choices and rights
You can reject optional analytics and change your choice at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, object to processing or request data portability, and lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Google Analytics and cookies
With consent, Google Analytics 4 measures visits to public pages using pseudonymous cookie identifiers, page paths and technical information such as browser, language and device. This is not anonymous data. We do not send form contents, email addresses, search text, route coordinates or URL query parameters through this integration. Logged-in visits, management pages and our test environment are excluded. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our measurement code.
The cookies _ga and _ga_2GLBWVFN9G remain in place for up to 180 days without automatic extension. Your cookie choice is stored locally for up to 180 days as mv_cookie_consent_v2 . Rejecting them does not prevent use of the website. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and removes these cookies from this website; it does not automatically erase data processed previously.
Google processes the analytics data for reporting and may use infrastructure outside the European Economic Area. Read Google's privacy policy and Google Analytics' data safeguards. Our previous measurement has been disabled; old statistics have been removed from the website and are not transferred to Google. Necessary local storage continues to remember language, route and privacy choices.
