Information to help you prepare
MOVAC helps you find motorcycle-friendly overnight accommodations, mountain passes, scenic roads and other stops. The information comes from various sources and may change. A location, description or route line on our map does not guarantee current availability, suitability or permission to access a place.
Check important information before departure and again if circumstances change. Ask the accommodation provider about facilities, prices, availability and parking options. The description ‘motorcycle-friendly’ in itself does not mean guarded parking or storage, insurance coverage or an independent quality mark.
Traffic rules and the situation on site take precedence
Follow traffic signs, official closures, instructions from competent authorities and the conditions you encounter. A road shown may be seasonal, have restricted access, be private, unpaved or unsuitable for your motorcycle or experience. A designation as a scenic road or mountain pass is not a statement that the road is safe or legally accessible.
You are responsible for riding within your capabilities, using appropriate equipment and complying with local rules. Take weather, daylight, fuel or battery range and the condition of your motorcycle into account. Stop in a safe place before using the website or changing settings on your device.
Camping and overnight stays
A camping or free-camping pin does not grant permission to stay overnight. Check the landowner’s permission, local and seasonal rules, protected areas and rules for parking overnight. What is permitted for one vehicle may be prohibited for another.
Limitations of maps and digital assistance
Map positions, distances and travel information may contain errors. Mobile coverage, positioning and external data services may fail. In an emergency, do not rely exclusively on MOVAC. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
Features described as ‘in development’ are not yet a promise of availability. Always assess digital suggestions against the actual situation and official information.
External providers and commercial information
Check the terms and conditions of the provider from whom you book or purchase. Our responsibility for our own actions remains. A paid placement, when offered and identified as such, is not in itself an independent quality assessment or safety certification.
Corrections and statutory rights
Do you see an error? Use the edit option for the relevant map location or email info@motorvacations.eu with the location and the necessary correction. Do not include unnecessary personal data.
We take reasonable care with information and notices. The above limitations explain how to use the service responsibly. They do not remove MOVAC’s legal obligations, exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limit mandatory consumer rights. The terms of use contain the provider’s details and the applicable agreements.
